Joy and Hope
Joy and Hope is a wonderful program for children ages 4-12 years. It’s name is appropriate to describe the spirit that radiates from the children who attend the gatherings. Its has proven to be both popular and very successful in achieving the goals of church ministry for children: to lead children to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Joy and Hope ministry program provides wholesome and fun activities to its participants while supporting the efforts of the family to impart a positive value system to its children.
About our Meetings
Joy and Hope meetings are an opportunity to participate in wholesome fellowship with peers and adult advisors who offer friendship and emotional support. Meetings are conducted in an informal, relaxed atmosphere that provides balance to the more formal experience of worship services and religious education classes. The discussion segment of the Joy and Hope ministry program focuses on the practical understanding and application of the Church’s formal teachings. Songs, games, craft projects and other activities reflect and enhance this spoken message developmentally appropriate manner for children of this age group.
The schedule and content of the successful Joy and Hope ministry may vary according to the practical considerations in each parish and the discretions of the advisors.
We have set a schedule of meeting for 2-3hrs once a month. This session will consist of quiet time, crafts, games, songs and snacks.
Look for scheduled meetings on the website, church bulletin, the voice and/or mailings.
